Wildflower Workshop

Join naturalist Frank Lescinsky for an afternoon lecture and walk from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM to learn about and see the mid-summer wildflowers growing in the woods and wetlands of the VIC.
- Wetland plants blooming around mid-July at the VIC include White-fringed Orchid, Blue Flag Iris, Northern Club-spur Orchis, Pitcher Plant, Swamp Candles, Cotton Grass, White Water Lily, Yellow Pond Lily, Pickerelweed, and Steeplebush.
- Upland plants blooming at this time include Dwarf Rattlesnake Plantain, Shinleaf, False Violet, Hop Clover, Wintergreen, Cow-wheat, and Queen Anne's Lace.
Cost: $20, $15 for Friends of the VIC. Please preregister by 5:00 PM the day before.
