Winter Sports at the VIC: 20th Annual Jingle Bell 5K Snowshoe Race (8 December 2013)
The Paul Smith's College Striders are hosting the 21st Annual 5 kilometer Jingle Bell snowshoe race to give area runners the opportunity to challenge themselves on this early season snowshoe race. In conjunction with the 5K event, the Striders will coordinate a .8K snowshoe race for kids age 14 and under. So bring the whole family to the VIC for some fun in the snow!
The cross country snowshoe race will start/finish at the rear entrance of the VIC, utilizing the trail system much as in most years. Assorted refreshments will be available before and after the event. If there is no snow cover, there will be a 5 km foot race, using the same woodland trail system.
Registration: 9:30-10 AM in the VIC lobby on race day or contact Jim Tucker at (518) 327-6286.
