This summer marks the 20th birthday of the Butterfly House, which first opened in July 1993. To honor the event, the Paul Smiths VIC is throwing a party! In addition to the regular Saturday offerings at the VIC, there will be special events to mark the occasion. Free - underwritten by Friends of the VIC

10 AM - 4 PM Regular tours of the Butterfly House with VIC naturalists and volunteers.
10 PM - 1 PM Butterfly-themed Face Painting
10 AM 5K Trail Run
10 AM & 2 PM Searching for butterflies on the water: Naturalist-led Canoe Paddles
11 AM Family-friendly percussion workshop with Inisheer's Erik Van Yserloo
1 PM Searching for butterflies on the trail: Nature Walk
1 PM - 3 PM Birds of Prey Demonstration with Mark Manske

The Paul Smiths VIC offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to educate and inform Adirondack Park residents and visitors about the natural wonders of the Adirondack Mountains. Explore the Trails

The VIC trails are free and open to the public, from dawn to dusk, spring through fall. In winter, the trails are open to cross-country skiers and snowshoers for a fee. Day or season passes may be purchased.
