Trees of the Adirondacks
Summer & Fall 2015
Join VIC naturalists on a leisurely walk from 10:00 AM to noon. We'll learn to identify various trees by look, smell, feel, and habitat.
- Conifers that grow along many of the VIC trails include: Balsam Fir, Eastern Hemlock, Eastern White Pine, and Red Spruce.
- Other trees, such as Black Spruce and Tamarack, grow mainly in swampy and boggy areas.
- Deciduous trees seen on the VIC property include American Beach, Paper Birch, Yellow Birch, Red Maple, Striped Maple, Bigtooth Aspen, Black Cherry, and Sugar Maple.

Cost: $20, $15 for Friends of the VIC. Please preregister by 5:00 PM the day before.
