Adirondack Birding Center Director Brian McAllister led a bird walk on the Boreal Life Trail and the Barnum Brook Trail on 22 May 2013. The walk was part of the "TR" Birding Series. The walk began at 9:00 AM, when we met in the VIC building at the Paul Smith's College VIC. We saw or heard a total of 38 different species. Highlights of the walk included some excellent views of several Palm Warblers on Barnum Bog. We also had some good views of a Black-throated Green Warbler and a Northern Parula.

We saw or heard the following birds:

Eastern Phoebe 1 Black-throated Blue Warbler 2
Blue-headed Vireo 1 Palm Warbler 4
Red-eyed Vireo 2 Yellow-rumped Warbler 2
Blue Jay 3 Black-throated Green Warbler 2
American Crow 1 Magnolia Warbler 3
Barn Swallow 3 Chipping Sparrow 2
Black-capped Chickadee 2 Lincoln's Sparrow 1
Red-Breasted Nuthatch 1 Swamp Sparrow 2
Winter Wren 2 White-throated Sparrow 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet 2 Scarlet Tanager 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 Red-winged Blackbird 3
