On 13 June 2015, Adirondack Birding Center Director Brian McAllister led a bird walk on the Heron Marsh Trail, the Logger's Loop Trail, and the Boreal Life Trail. The walk was part of the "TR" Birding Series. The walk began at 9:00 AM, when we met in the VIC building at the Paul Smith's College VIC. It was a sunny, cool morning – good birding weather. We saw or heard a total of 33 bird species. eBird Checklist

Highlights of the walk included views of a Swamp Sparrow and American Bittern on Heron Marsh (from the Heron Marsh tower) and some good views of a Red-eyed Vireo, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and a Hairy Woodpecker at the VIC parking lot. We also got some nice views of a Black-throated Green Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Blackburnian Warbler on the Logger's Loop Trail. On Barnum Bog, we were able to get good views of a Palm Warbler, White-throated Sparrow, and Lincoln's Sparrow from the Boreal Life Trail board walk.
