Join Adirondack Birding Center Director Brian McAllister at 7:30 PM for a winter owl prowl. Participants will learn about the owls that make the Adirondack Mountains home in the winter. We'll discuss owl natural history, learn some call notes, and listen for them, too. We'll be listening for two species of owl: Barred Owls and Northern Saw-whet Owls.

Participants will need snowshoes. Rentals are available for $5 at the VIC. Bring your headlamp or a flashlight. Please dress appropriately for being outdoors at night. $10/person, $5 for Friends of the VIC. Children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult. Preregistration appreciated. Call the VIC at (518) 327-6241 for more information or email bmcdonnell@paulsmiths.edu.
