Celestron Telescope at the VIC

The VIC Staff will be bringing out the 16" Celestron Deep Space Telescope to explore the winter night sky as Orion rises overhead, the Big Dipper shows us the North Star, and the 7 Sisters of Pleiades dance over the winter darkness. Dress appropriately for standing outside in cold temperatures. The program begins at 7:30 PM. Cost: $10 per person. Friends of the VIC: $6. The Paul Smiths VIC offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to educate and inform Adirondack Park residents and visitors about the natural wonders of the Adirondack Mountains. Explore the Trails

The VIC trails are free and open to the public, from dawn to dusk, spring through fall. In winter, the trails are open to cross-country skiers and snowshoers for a fee. Day or season passes may be purchased.
