Trail Running at the Paul Smith's College VIC:
Independence Day Star-Spangled Trail Marathon
Sunday, 6 July 2014
Wear your red, white, and blue to celebrate the U.S.A. at Paul Smith’s College VIC! This trail run will take place on the network of wooded trails, different from the Jenkins Mountain scramble. All proceeds from the race will be used to support the VIC – a vital community resource for environmental education, recreation, and the arts. This event is part of the 2014 Adirondack Trail Race Series, hosted by the Paul Smith's College VIC and High Peaks Cyclery.
The day will feature several events:

All races will be run as “wilderness trail runs.” This means is that there will be no support during the race. All participants are on their own from start to finish and will need to carry their own water, food and other supplies they may require during the race. Any volunteers stationed on the course will be there to ensure runners take the designated trail. They will not be providing water, food, gu, moleskin, etc. It is absolutely critical that all racers respect the beautiful network of the trails that they will be using. If you drop an energy packet by accident, please stop and pick it up. Anyone failing to do this will be immediately disqualified.
