The Paul Smith's College VIC will host an evening of songs with musicians Doug Irving, Ray Agnew, Gwen Tracy, and Keith Gorgas. Admission is $10.00 per person. Seniors, students, Friends of the VIC, and children: $8.00.
- Doug Irving is currently finishing up his twelfth studio album titled “The Living Soil”. It will follow recent releases “Eclecticity”, “Fire Towers and Shanties” and “An Adirondack Suite”. He resides in Queensbury.
- Ray Agnew is originally from the upstate area, was educated at Crane School of Music in Potsdam. He will be performing songs from this latest CD, Faith, Love, Kids and Other Mysteries.
- Keith Gorgas is originally from Perth Amboy, New Jersey but has spent the better part of the last twenty years in the Saranac Lake area of the Adirondacks. He is a custom builder, a tour bus driver and a fisherman, but his true love is and always will be his music. He says his songs are a little bit Dylan, some Kristofferson, a little Townes Van Zant but always personal experience. His songs are the journal of his life.
- Gwen Tracy has been known for the last two decades as a vocal powerhouse, guitarist, and songwriter. Her special musical cocktail calls for two parts blues, one part rock and roll, and a splash of folksy tradition. Her unforgettable performances will get you out of your seat and dancing. Gwen feels that her mission as a musical performer is to forge a connection with the audience, and to inspire them to pursue their dreams. Born into a musical family, Gwen has performed on stage with some of the best musicians in the area, but still derives the most enjoyment from performing with her long time musical partner: her father, Jim Tracy. She cites Etta James, Susan Tedeschi, and Imelda May as her inspirations. Come on out and enjoy some great music! .
