The Paul Smiths VIC building (22 April 2013)
Make your next conference, party, or gathering an Adirondack experience. The 3,000-acre Paul Smiths VIC also provides a wonderful natural backdrop for an Adirondack wedding. The VIC offers both indoor and outdoor facilities. The VIC building contains a 150-seat theater, exhibit rooms, a classroom, a visitors lounge, rest rooms, a passive energy-saving sun space with an art gallery, and a gift shop. Nearby is the Whispering Pines Amphitheater, picnic pavilions, a children's playground, a trail system, and a 125-car parking lot. These facilities provide ample space for conferences, weddings, parties, and other gatherings.
- The Great Room overlooks Heron Marsh, with stunning views of Saint Regis Mountain, providing a quintessentially Adirondack setting for dining. Additional space is available on the adjacent deck and sun room.
- Nearby trails include overlooks which can be used for weddings or wedding photographs.
- Level areas adjacent to the VIC building, including Monarch Meadow (next to the Butterfly House), offer convenient spaces to deploy tents for outdoor events.
