1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Join VIC Naturalist Intern Nate Casaregola from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to learn the basics of fishing. Come along with Nate to learn the basics of spin casting from shore, lure selection by species, and fish handling for catch and release. A New York State fishing license is required for participants over the age of 16.
We will meet at the VIC building at 1:00 PM. The fishing is going to take place on Lower Saint Regis Lake (about a mile from the VIC). The main species we expect to catch are largemouth and smallmouth bass, as well as yellow perch.
The cost is $20 per person for adults. $25 for a parent and a child. Friends of the VIC save $5. Preregistration required by 5:00 PM the day before.
