This 1.2 mile trail can be accessed from the Barnum Brook Trail or the Heron Marsh Trail. From the Barnum Brook Trail, the Forest Ecology Trail winds through hardwood forest, then slopes down to a 900-foot boardwalk crossing a rich peatland. The path includes a variety of forest habitats.
