2012 Chili Ski and Snowshoe FestivalChili at the Paul Smiths VIC

This family-oriented day will feature winter sports at the VIC. Join VIC staff for interpretive snowshoe walks or a winter scavenger hunt; and compete for fun prizes in the 5 or 10K ski races or the 2 or 5K snowshoe event. Chili will be prepared and served by the students of the Paul Smith’s College Culinary Department. Snowshoe and ski rentals available. Chili is included with your ski pass; entry fees apply for races.

11:00 AM 10K Ski Race Start ($25 entrance fee; $5 off for season pass holders)
11:15 AM 5K Ski Race Start ($15 entrance fee; $5 off for season pass holders)
1:00 PM 5K Snowshoe Race Start
1:00 PM 2K Snowshoe Race Start
1:00 - 3:00 PM Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides ($5/person or $15/family)
1:00 PM Chili served

The Paul Smiths VIC offers a wide variety of programs throughout the year to educate and inform Adirondack Park residents and visitors about the natural wonders of the Adirondack Mountains. Explore the Trails

The VIC trails are free and open to the public, from dawn to dusk, spring through fall. In winter, the trails are open to cross-country skiers and snowshoers for a fee. Day or season passes may be purchased.
