Adirondack Raptors: Mark Manske with a Barn OwlMark Manske of Adirondack Raptors with a Barn Owl

The Paul Smith’s College VIC and Adirondack Raptors invites you to spend Saturday afternoons immersed in the lives of birds of prey. Mark Manske of Adirondack Raptors will have live birds on hand from 1:00 to 3:00 PM to describe the amazing lives of hawks and owls of our region. Free with trail pass. Mr. Manske usually brings a Great Horned Owl, Barn Owl, Harris's Hawk, and American Kestrel for these informative and popular demonstrations.

Adirondack Raptors is a privately owned business that monitors and studies the local raptor populations. Its mission is to nurture a healthy appreciation of nature in the community by using the raptors as an educational platform. Mr. Manske has been studying raptors since 1984; he has been an adjunct college professor at Paul Smiths College since 2007. He also writes for Embark, published every 2 months through the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
