Heron Marsh at the Paul Smiths VIC (10 May 2011)

Water Color Field Sketch Techniques Demonstration
6 April 2013
10:00 AM to noon

Instructor: Tim Fortune

"Good drawing forms the 'bones' on which a strong painting hangs." (Chris Bingle) Drawing can record, express, educate and exist for no other reason than it's just fun to do. This discussion and demonstration will introduce participants to the fundamentals of sketching nature and enhancing the drawing with touches of watercolor. The instructor will demonstrate the use of different drawing materials for a variety of desired effects, then have everyone give it a try using materials that will be provided.

Instructor’s Biography: Mr. Fortune's works have been shown at numerous galleries both nationally and internationally, have won numerous awards and are also represented in the permanent collection of the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, New York.

Cost: $12

Preregistration is required. Please register by 2 April. Call 518-327-6241 or email Tracy Santagate.
