New Moon Art Show: Brush with the Past

Artist Matt Burnett, photographer Ed Murphy, and artist Melissa Burnett are exhibiting their work at the Paul Smith's College VIC from 4 October through 2 November. An opening reception will be held on 4 October, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
- Matt Burnett is an artist and licensed guide living in Saranac Lake, NY. A native of the region, his paintings and outdoor installations have been featured locally and internationally. - Photographer Ed Murphy’s images explore the natural beauty of the Northern Adirondacks, focusing on the mountains and vistas of Norman Ridge, and the flora and fauna of the Bloomingdale Bog and the Paul Smith’s Visitor Interpretive Center. His landscape photos demonstrate the dramatic visual impact of changing weather and seasons. His work has been selected for juried art shows at the Adirondack Artists Guild and the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. His images have appeared frequently as the “photo of the day” at North Country Public Radio.”
- Melissa Burnett is a painter residing in Fort Edward, NY. She grew up in the Adirondacks and maintains a true love of nature. Melissa's artistic career began with a plein air painting class taught by Matthew Burnett at the top of Castle Rock in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. Her medium of choice is water mixable oil paints, with which she paints standard sized canvases and the birch bark mirrors created by Randy Ketcham.
