New Moon Art Show: Wild and True
8 June - 7 July 2013
Artist Ella Davidson and photographer Karla Brieant are exhibiting their work at the Paul Smith's College VIC from 8 June through 7 July.
- Ella Davidson's paintings deal with experiencing the wilderness. Her paintings reference photographs taken during her many walks, canoe trips, and impromptu encounters with the Adirondack, Vermont, and Canadian wilderness. Through use of exaggerated color, high contrast, and bold gestural marks, her paintings depict a fantastic wilderness. Her focus is on simple, quiet moments, which elicit reflective and spiritual experiences.
- Karla Brieant is a landscape/nature photographer who specializes in photographs of the Adirondack Park. She uses manual cameras and techniques; and the images seen are totally unaltered. What you see is exactly as it appeared in nature.
